Having built successful careers in PR and writing, John and Lorraine Brownbill founded The Write People to service a growing demand for copywriting and design services across central Scotland. Establishing an early client base which boasted high profile Scottish businesses, they earned a strong reputation in the market for their relationship-driven approach, quality work and competitive pricing.

Having joined the business at the very start of her career in 1999, Karen Nisbet bought The Write People in 2009 on John and Lorraine’s retirement.

Re-branding as Arken Creative in 2020 to better reflect the core creative design focus, Karen and the well-established team have continued to build on the great foundations and heritage.

Today, we are a collaborative team of designers who are proud of the lasting relationships we build with our clients, taking the time to understand their needs, goals and aspirations on every project.

Our cost-effective, agile and friendly approach has made us the design partner of choice for a diverse range of clients across the public and private sectors.
